A 78-year-old man was stabbed in an unprovoked attack in Van Nest on Wednesday night.
The stabbing happened in front of 1822 Delancey Pl. just before 7:40 p.m.
Investigators say a man approached the 78-year-old man and stabbed him once in the abdomen.
The 78-year-old man was transported to Jacobi Hospital where he is expected to be OK.
Police sources say it was a random unprovoked attack. The assailant was last seen wearing a light-colored sweatshirt, blue jeans, and white sneakers.
