The former president of the East Ramapo School Board pleaded guilty to mail fraud in federal court today.
Nathan Rothschild admitted to using his former position as the Monsey fire commissioner to enter into a real estate deal with a creditor to pay off personal debts.
He said he hoped to gain $125,000 from the scheme.
Rothschild faces a maximum of 20 years in prison and a fine of up to $250,000 when he's sentenced in November.
