A family is displaced and are searching for a missing pet after a fire tore through their home in Pine Bush.

The fire happened early Sunday morning at a single-family home on County Route 17. Fire officials said crews were called just after 6 a.m.

Video from the scene showed the house gutted by flames.

Neighbors told News 12 the family made it out safely, but they are still looking for a missing cat.

News 12 reached out to the Pine Bush Fire Department for more information but has not yet heard back.
