Feeding Westchester celebrated the grand reopening of its food distribution center in Elmsford.
A total of 12,000 square feet of space has been added, which will increase their food storage and distribution capacity by 50%.
That means Feeding Westchester can now hold two months of inventory or 1.4 million meals.
Officials say that 2 in 5 Westchester County families are at risk of hunger.
The new space includes additional shelves and racks and two more dock doors, bringing the total to nine at the center.
