A chemical leak that sent aluminum sulfate into Fishkill Creek has been fixed, according to state environmental officials.
The state Department of Environmental Conservation said about 3,000 gallons were accidentally released Monday from the Beacon Water Treatment Plant.
Officials said a pump was left running, causing a storage tank to overflow.
Experts evaluated the scene on Tuesday and say no fish died.
Beacon officials say there is no threat to humans.
The DEC will continue to monitor the cleanup.
