yesterdayA former Sarah Lawrence College student accused of assisting in a sex trafficking operation pleaded guilty to a money laundering conspiracy charge in federal court on Wednesday.
Isabella Pollok, 31, is accused of helping the father of a Sarah Lawrence College student force women on campus into prostitution.
Officials say Lawrence Ray, 62, recruited Pollok after living with her and some of the victims in his daughter’s on-campus house in 2010.
Authorities say Ray extorted millions of dollars out of his daughter’s friends.
In pleading guilty, Pollok said she knew that some of the money laundered came from sex trafficking.
She faces up to five years in prison when she is sentenced in February.
Ray faces life in prison after his December sentencing.
