Former White Plains man pleads guilty to making threatening phone calls, messages to CT resident

A former White Plains man has pleaded guilty to making threatening calls and messages to a person in Connecticut.
Federal officials say 30-year-old Elijah Whyte sent the victim 1,330 text messages, made 72 phone calls and left three voicemails between August and October 2023.
In many of the messages, he spoke about the victim getting killed and raped, talked about the victim's children and the victim's home and hometown.
Whyte has been detained since October 2023 and is set to be sentenced on Aug. 8.
He faces up to two years in prison.
