A sex offender from Patterson was recently arrested in Texas after fleeing the area, according to police.

Officials say Jamey Puente, 55, failed to make a scheduled appearance at the sheriff’s office to update his offender photo and did not update his address for three years.

Police issued a warrant for his arrest in 2024 and made numerous attempts to find him. He was apprehended early last month in Texas and then flown back to Putnam County on Nov. 1

He is set to appear in court at a later date.
