Local golfing pro Rob LaBritz has had a pretty good career. He's played in the PGA Championship eight times, and he's got seven pro wins.
Now, he's turned 50 and taking on a new challenge: LaBritz is trying to qualify for the PGA Champions Tour, or what used to be called the Senior Tour.
He has to play well in three tournaments just to get to the qualifying tourney in December.
LaBritz says this has been his goal for a while, and he's trying not to think too much about what's at stake.
“Just hitting one shot at a time,” he said.
“All I focus on my whole life I’ve been working on just hitting one shot because that's all I can control. I never think about the past, never think about the future. I don't stress over anything anymore. I’m 50 years old, life is great. I just want to hit good golf shots and if hit good golf shots, you know, you can make it through these q-schools."
