Gov. Hochul on severe storms: Mother Nature not quite done with New York
Hochul provided an update Sunday as torrential downpours hit the Hudson Valley.

Gov. Kathy Hochul gave an update on the extreme weather that impacted the state on Sunday, saying Mother Nature is not quite done yet with New York.
"It may not look bad this moment if you look out the window, but the storms are continuing to surround us and we are in a very, very, what I would call, an unstable weather condition," Hochul said. "Once the rain starts and if you are on a road that simply looks passible with just a little bit of pooling water for one minute, that's the nature of a flash flood. A flash flood doesn't give you warning-- it comes literally in a flash."
This update came just hours after torrential rain poured down all over the Hudson Valley.
In Tarrytown, the weather forced police officers to hang caution tape and place cones near West Sunnyside Lane to keep people away from flooding in the area.
In Port Chester, police urged drivers to stay off of the road due to a flash flood warning that was issued.
As the state continues to deal with extreme weather, Hochul urges residents to have an emergency plan in place. This includes having supplies ready to go like flashlights, a first aid kit, batteries and food.
