The state Legislature experienced an apparent cyberattack Thursday, according to Gov. Kathy Hochul.

She says the incident impacted the Legislative Bill Drafting Commission.

Hochul immediately deployed state cybersecurity officials to resolve the issue.

Investigators were looking for the source of the attack as of Wednesday night.

The cyberattack occurred as the Legislature and Hochul were working to finalize the state budget.
