The Greenburgh Police Department issued its first annual bias report to the Greenburgh Town Board.
It describes any hate crimes from the year in town.
The town requested the report because of the rise in antisemitic incidents across the country last year.
The first report covers 2021 and 2022, and includes seven incidents in total.
Such incidents include, a white man making disparaging, race-related remarks to a Black female delivery driver, a white woman using racial slurs then punching a Black woman at a bowling alley and a neighbor calling another neighbor a slur based on sexual orientation.
Town Supervisor Paul Feiner says hate isn't acceptable in Greenburgh and the report could help stop it.
