The announcement of school aid across the state has led to complaints from the Greenburgh town supervisor about the treatment of his district.
"The formula that the state of New York uses in distributing school aid is not favorable to the Greenburgh school district," Supervisor Paul Feiner said in a statement. He added that "Greenburgh Central is receiving in the 2023 budget that was just approved millions less in increased formula funding than other school districts in the region."
Feiner did say the district may be eligible for a 3% funding increase, citing officials in Albany.
Every public school district in New York will be fully funded for the first time since the state adopted the Foundation Aid formula in 2007.
