A 23-year-old college student from Orange County is getting creative this summer to help pay for college.
Samantha Kelm is a third-year veterinary student who recently opened a new business in Greenwood Lake and she’s no stranger to the water.
“I’ve always lived on the lake and have always been on the water,” says Kelm. “We have kayak, paddleboard and real boat rentals."
The shop is called Lake’s End Water Sports, and Kelm tells News 12 she spent a year putting together the business plan.
Visitors can rent water sports equipment at her parent’s dock on 17A in Greenwood Lake.
"It’s really a lake kid dream. I’m living this summer, getting to hang out by the water and with family,” says Kelm.
News 12 is told rentals are done by the hour, half-day, daily or weekends.
