Severe wind gusts overnight into Monday damaged at least one home and caused power outages throughout the Hudson Valley.
Construction workers blamed the winds for tearing apart their work on a home along Chevron Road in Monroe on the border of Kiryas Joel.
The storm also left hundreds without power, including homes in Woodbury.
Residents along Pine Hill Road were without power for hours after Orange & Rockland Utilities said strong winds knocked trees and heavy branches onto power lines.
O&R says roughly 1,000 were without power in Orange and Rockland counties just after the height of the storm, with the bulk of outages in Woodbury.
