Outside of the 32nd Precinct, just a block away from where the Harlem shooting incident occurred last week, the memorial dedicated to posthumously promoted Detective Jason Rivera and Officer Wilbert Mora continues to grow in size.
Law enforcement has blocked off a chunk of East 135th Street in order to guard the memorial. New Yorkers have continued to stop by during the week to pay their respects, with the memorial looking as if it has nearly doubled in size since last week.
This morning, NYPD buses arrived at the 32nd Precinct, bringing officers from different boroughs to the memorial.
The funeral for Rivera was held this morning. During the ceremony, he was promoted posthumously to detective.
The funeral for Officer Mora will be held next week.
