Congressman Mondaire Jones took to Twitter saying, "People who incite insurrections are not welcome in New York's 17th Congressional District." The message comes as former President Donald Trump prepares to speak at a political fundraiser at Trump National Golf Club in Briarcliff Manor. Next month's fundraiser benefits the State Republican Committee. Tickets for the event start at $1,000 and go up to $25,000 per person.

A state Supreme Court judge will not re-hear arguments to reinstate a lawsuit filed by 2-year-old Gabriella Boyd's father. Stephen Boyd claims inaction by law enforcement and other agencies led to his daughter's death at the hands of her own mother in Mamaroneck. An autopsy found the toddler's cause of death is "undetermined."

Retired Miami-Dade police officer Eric Reynolds says he was asked to leave Rondout Valley campground in Accord for refusing to take down his thin blue line American flag. He says staff told him the flag violated their policy. Reynolds was shot in the line of duty in 2013 and awarded for exemplary service. The 51-year-old suffers from post-traumatic stress disorder and retired last year as a result. He eventually took the flag down and was able to stay. Reynolds says he travels the country with his family in their camper, and says the site is the first place to have an issue with his thin blue line flag. News 12 reached out to the campground for comment and it responded, “We have a flag policy across all campgrounds in our network that has been in effect since 2018. The policy allows a limited variety of flags to be displayed on site and is intended to help ensure a welcoming atmosphere for guests of the campgrounds.”
