Here are some stories making headlines across the Hudson Valley.
Police are investigating a deadly hit-and-run in Saugerties. Police say a 21-year-old woman was hit and killed yesterday while walking on the southbound side of 9-W. She was taken to the hospital where she later died. Anyone with information is asked to call Saugerties police.
Takai Jackson, of Newburgh, was charged with the felony criminal sale and possession of a controlled substance. Investigators say they found fentanyl and cocaine during his arrest. Jackson has been released to the supervision of Dutchess County Probation.
Two suspects are facing charges for allegedly stealing from unlocked cars in Rockland County. Ramapo police say the two people stole credit cards on twelve different occasions in the Village of Chestnut Ridge. Police say the suspects used the cards in Spring Valley and Hillcrest. A man and a woman are now charged with identity theft and criminal possession of stolen property. Both defendants were released on appearance tickets.
