A Highbridge man was arrested for allegedly shooting and killing a 17-year-old boy and wounding another teenager in 2025, police say.

Charlie Torres, 37, was taken into custody Tuesday and faces a slew of charges, including murder. He is accused of carrying out the double shooting on Jan. 3, 2025 in Highbridge that killed Andrew Mora, of Manhattan.

The NYPD says the violent scene unfolded around 5:45 p.m. in front of 1491 Macombs Road, just steps from the alleged gunman's home.

Officers responded to a 911 call for an assault in progress when they found the two wounded teen boys.

According to police, Mora suffered a gunshot wound to the chest while the second teen was shot in the abdomen.

Paramedics rushed both victims to St. Barnabas Hospital, where Mora died.

Police say the other teen recovered from his injuries.

In addition to murder, Torres also faces charges of manslaughter and two counts of criminal possession of a weapon.

The motive behind the shooting was not released.
