A 23-year old Nanuet man was on his way back to Frisk University in Nashville, Tennessee Sunday but never made it.
While driving through North Carolina, James Jackson Jr. somehow lost control of his car, crashing on route I-95 north. Jackson was killed, and his cousin from Spring Valley was injured.
Jackson, who was working towards his master's in education, also volunteered as a teacher at the Martin Luther King Jr. Multi-Purpose Center in Spring Valley. The center is planning to hold a memorial ceremony in his honor.
