Officials in the Hudson Valley are condemning political violence in the aftermath of Saturday’s shooting at a Trump rally in Pennsylvania.
Rockland County Executive Ed Day released a statement on Facebook. It read in part, "my thoughts and prayers are with former president Donald Trump. Regardless of how one feels about party and politics, that disagreement should never escalate to violence.”
Orange County sheriff Paul Arteta also condemned the act, saying in part, “such actions have no place in our society and will not be tolerated. Our thoughts and prayers are with the president, his family and all other victims affected by this tragic event."
