Police are searching for an armed suspect who robbed a Bank of America branch in Warwick Thursday.

According to investigators, the robber stormed into the bank at 671 County Route 1 shortly after 2 p.m. and demanded cash. The teller handed the suspect an unknown amount of money, and the man took off, police say.

The robber is described as a 6-foot man who was last seen wearing a black sweatshirt and a black scarf covering his face. Anyone with information about the suspect's whereabouts is asked to call the Warwick Police Department at 845-986-3423.
