A Hunts Point family says water flooded into their home Wednesday, causing a ceiling to cave in and leaving behind lingering leaks.
Shirley King, who lives at 1327 Seneca Ave., says warm water began gushing into her apartment from four different places. ?It was like we were in a lake,? she says.
According to King, the family has complained for years about leaks in the apartment because shoddy work by maintenance workers has not fixed the problem.
?They don't repair it decently [and] don't reimburse you for anything,? she says.
The landlord of the building says he?ll have the problem fixed, but doesn?t plan to reimburse the King family for any damage.
