Laura and Dave Rose are the owners of an indoor pickleball facility expected to open in March at 182 N Main St. in New City next to Stop & Shop.

The couple currently lives in New Jersey, but Dave has roots in Suffern.

The husband-and-wife team gave News 12 a sneak peek inside the building.

The location is 28,000 square feet and will have nine cushioned courts, a private event room and more.

They're currently demolishing things ahead of the project's next step.

"We are really excited to bring this to the community, and I think people are chomping at the bit to get this going," said Laura.

They hope the space is a place for people to enjoy the game as well as build a sense of connection and community.

The Sports & Fitness Industry Association says pickleball has been the fastest growing sport in America for the past four years, estimating there were 19.8 million players in 2024.

News 12 has also learned another indoor facility called Rockland Pickleball Club is expected to open soon in Valley Cottage.
