The judge in the ?Newburgh Four? terror trial has temporarily halted deliberations due to a stray document that ended up in a juror?s evidence binder.
Officials say it was a transcript of a conversation between one of the defendants and his father. They say that it was taken out of evidence months before the trial began and apparently was put in the binder by mistake.
The judge sent the jurors home for the weekend and told them if there is a problem, they will know on Tuesday.James Cromitie, Onta Williams, David Williams and Laguerre Payen are accused of plotting to bomb two synagogues in the Bronx and shoot down military planes at Stewart Air Base.
