An Orange County jury is deliberating the case of a Highland Falls man accused of killing his daughter.
Closing arguments were heard in the case of Christopher Rhodes who is accused of killing his 7-year-old daughter, Jerica, in January. Prosecutors spent the last three weeks in court trying to prove it was Rhodes that killed his daughter and left her body in the bathroom of Sacred Heart School in Highland Falls. Prosecutors say the girl?s blood was found on Rhode?s coat, sneakers and car door. However, the defense claims the blood was from the girl?s frequent nose bleeds.
The fate of Rhodes lies in the hands of a jury of his peers. The jury is expected to continue deliberating Tuesday.Related Story:
