Deepark Supervisor Karl Brabenec has won the Republican nomination for the 98th District Assembly seat in the Hudson Valley.
Brabenec defeated former Washingtonville Mayor Kevin Hudson, former Orange County Legislator Dan Castricone and Mike Morgillo for the nomination. He also won on the Conservative Party line.
Monroe resident Elisa Tutini beat Rockland County Legislator Aron Wieder and fellow Monroe resident Krystal Serrano for the Democratic nomination.
The seat was vacated by Assemblywoman Annie Rabbit, who gave up her seat when she was elected Orange County clerk last year.
