The kitten was rescued by a New Rochelle police detective after being trapped in a car engine for more than three hours.
Detective Mike Vaccaro, who earned the title “Cat Daddy,” has formally adopted little Lucky Nugget.
The Humane Society of Westchester at New Rochelle posted a photo with a caption that reads: "From savior to adopter! "
