Rockland County Legislator Frank Sparaco has reportedly been given the pink slip from his confidential $100,000 secretary job at the Clarkstown Highway Department.
That decision comes as Sparaco prepares to defend himself against 38 felony charges filed by the Rockland District Attorney's Office.
Some of those charges allege that Sparaco filed petitions containing false information about people he was trying to get elected to the town's Republican committee.
He's also being accused of renting space for people just so they could register or vote in the town of Clarkstown.
Sparaco is reportedly denying those allegations.
He is due back in Clarkstown court Dec. 8.
