A man and a woman were charged Wednesday with promoting prostitution from a Port Jervis massage parlor.
Police say Shoe Ming You and Ying Hong Sui were running a prostitution business out of their store front on Main Street. Sui faces prostitution charges and You is charged with running the massage business without a license. Authorities say the investigation was prompted by an ad in the local newspaper. Port Jervis police raided the store as a result of undercover police work that began months ago.
The Orange County district attorney?s office executed a search warrant on the premise. Police say the search uncovered a book revealing the names of ?Johns? and the dates they received services. Police plan on pursuing charges against the ?Johns? as well.
Both You and Sui are Chinese Nationals that are in the country on expired VISAs.
