Life in the Hudson Valley is getting back to normal after a 5.8-magnitude earthquake shook the East Coast.

Seismologists say the earthquake's epicenter was just northwest of Richmond, Va., and struck around 1:51 p.m.
The tremor was felt from Georgia to Massachusetts.
In New City, employees at the Rockland County office building say they were shaken by the quake but say they are glad no one was hurt there.
Many residents say they initially feared that the shaking was due to a possible terror attack, especially with the 10th anniversary of Sept. 11 fast approaching.
Officials say while many people were scared by the tremor, there are no reports of injuries or damage to buildings in the area.
Seismologists at the Lamont Doherty Earth Observatory say an earthquake of this magnitude is incredibly rare in the region, noting that this tremor is one of the strongest since the 1700s.
