Former New Rochelle teacher ruled not fit to stand trial and sent to psychiatric center

A 49-year-old man was slashed in the head in Clason Point early Thursday morning.

Police responded to a call for a slashing at 430 White Plains Rd. Just before 2:25 a.m.

When they arrived, they found a 49-year-old man with a slash wound to his head.

He was taken to St Barnabas Hospital and is expected to be OK.

Police sources say the slashing stemmed from a dispute.

There are no arrests and an investigation is ongoing.
