Police say a man was stabbed in Highbridge, steps away from a middle school.
Officers responded to East 167th Street and Gerard Avenue near P.S./I.S. 218 Rafael Hernandez Dual Language Magnet School just before 12:30 p.m. Thursday.
The man was taken to NYC Health + Hospitals/Lincoln, according to the FDNY.
Police say he is expected to recover.
The man did not provide additional information to authorities about the attack.
