A public hearing is set for Wednesday night on a proposed commercial development known as Cedar Corners, a project currently in the early stages of the Clarkstown Planning Board's land-use review process.
The project proposes four warehouse and office space buildings totaling 560,000 square feet.
The proposal calls for a mix of warehouse space, commercial offices and a drive-thru restaurant along Route 303 in Congers. The development would be built on roughly 41 acres near the existing shopping center off Meola Road.
Residents say they're concerned about increased traffic, the loss of open space and possible effects on nearby property values.
A public hearing is scheduled for 7 p.m. at Clarkstown Town Hall.
Town officials say no vote will be taken. The hearing is intended to gather public comment and discuss the project's environmental impacts.
