Police in Middletown are asking residents to lock their cars after a string of thefts.
Middletown police say that in less than two weeks they received almost a dozen reports of items being snatched from unlocked cars, which they call "crimes of opportunity."
Police are also responding to the rash of thefts by analyzing where they are occurring, and sending more officers to those trouble spots.
