More schools across the Hudson Valley are reporting positive coronavirus cases.
The interim superintendent of the New Rochelle School District has informed the community that a student has tested positive at George M. Davis Jr. Elementary School. In a letter to parents, Dr. Alex Marrero states the student was last in school a week ago and became symptomatic the day after. The student then switched to remote learning pending test results. Everyone who has come in contact with this individual has been informed and is quarantining.
Maria Regina High School in Hartsdale is extending remote learning until at least Dec. 10 after a student tested positive there.
Valhalla Middle School will be remote today until Nov. 30. This comes after someone who tested positive was last inside the building last week when they were infectious.
And a student at Robert C. Dodson School in Yonkers has tested positive. The school will remain open today after sanitizing.
