Mostly cloudy Friday for the Hudson Valley before sunny and warm weekend

News 12 Storm Watch Team Meteorologist Matt Hammer says the next few days will be mild with plenty of sunshine and temperatures climbing into the 70s.

News 12 Storm Watch Team Meteorologist Addison Green says the Hudson Valley will see a mostly cloudy Friday before a sunny and warm weekend.
WHAT'S NOW: White Plains hit a temperature of 79 degrees this afternoon, breaking the previous record of 77 set in 1963. Temperatures will continue to be above average for Friday and Saturday where records will be challenged again.
WHAT'S NEW: Another weekend, another chance to see showers try and ruin plans. The stretch of weekends with rain will continue for the 8th straight time. A storm system will drop down Sunday midday, from the north and west. This will bring rain showers to the Hudson Valley Sunday midday into Monday evening.
WHAT'S NEXT: From short sleeves to coats and hats will be the Wardrobe Trend from Saturday into Tuesday. Temperatures will tumble around 30-40 degrees between this weekend and Halloween!
FORECAST
OVERNIGHT: Mostly cloudy skies, a very light breeze, and pleasant temps. Lows in the low- to mid-50s.
FRIDAY: Mostly cloudy to mostly sunny with nearly record warmth. Record: 78 (1963). Highs in the mid-70s. Lows in the upper-50s to low-60s.
SATURDAY -- PICK OF THE WEEK: Mostly sunny with possible record warm temperatures. Record: 80 (1963). Highs in the upper-70s. Low in the mid-50s.
SUNDAY: Mostly cloudy to overcast with rain showers arriving by midday. They will last through the rest of the day. Highs in the upper-50s to low-60s. Lows in the mid-50s.
MONDAY: Mostly cloudy with scattered showers. After a cold front passes by, drier and colder air moves in with breezy winds. Highs in the upper-50s to low-60s. Lows in the upper-30s to low-40s.
TUESDAY: Partly cloudy with a cold and crisp feeling. Highs in the upper-40s to low-50s. Lows in the mid- to upper-30s.
WEDNESDAY: After a chilly start, temps warm up, but will trend below average despite mostly sunny skies. Highs in the mid- to upper-40s. Lows in the low- to mid-30s.
THURSDAY: Mostly sunny skies. Highs in the upper-40s to low-50s. Lows in the mid- to upper-30s.
FRIDAY: Mostly sunny to sunny. Highs in the low- to mid-50s. Lows in the mid-30s to low-40s.
SATURDAY: Partly cloudy to mostly sunny. Highs in the mid-50s. Lows in the upper-30s to low-40s.
SUNDAY (DAYLIGHT SAVINGS TIME ENDS AT 2 A.M.): Partly cloudy with scattered shower chances. Highs in the mid- to upper-50s. Lows in the upper-30s to low-40s.
