Drivers who use a parking lot that partially collapsed in White Plains this week that say that there have been frequent maintenance issues.
The garage is located at 50 Hale Ave.
City officials revealed on Thursday that they had not received any assessment reports from the owner of the privately owned garage.
New York state law requires that owners and operators of parking garages perform structural condition assessments of their facilities on a scheduled basis.
They must be performed by licensed professional engineers that specialize in building structural design to identify any unsafe conditions.
According to White Plains city officials, garage owners are required to submit a copy of an assessment report describing the findings to the city.
The Building Department says it is not in receipt of the assessment report for this garage.
Questions are still being raised more than 24 hours later about the maintenance of this parking garage by those who frequently use the garage.
News 12 has been working to contact the current property owners but has not been able to get in touch.
