The Mount Hope Police Department is actively seeking individuals to join its team.
The department is specifically looking to fill part-time police officer positions to address patrol shift vacancies on both day and evening shifts. Candidates can expect to work approximately one to three shifts per week.
While prior law enforcement experience and a current police officer certification in the state are preferred, they are not required qualifications for applicants.
As reported earlier, a recent survey conducted by the Police Executive Research Forum revealed that staffing levels at police departments nationwide have been declining, with departments in January of last year reporting almost 5% lower staffing compared to January 2020.
If you're interested in applying for a position at the Mount Hope Police Department, you can submit an Orange County application along with your resume to Chief Maresca at the department. Applications can be found on the county's website.
