A spokesman for the city of Mount Vernon says the city
comptroller has complied with a court order to pay outstanding bills to the
city's fuel vendors.
The dispute led to a fuel shortage involving the
city's essential vehicles.
This past Friday, Comptroller Deborah Reynolds faced a noon court-ordered
deadline to pay the vendors.
Reynolds said she had just received the invoices two days before the deadline.
However, the city claims they had been submitted from last year.
The city says that fuel deliveries can resume now that the comptroller has
fully complied with the court order.
