If you live in Mount Vernon, you could get a free, new recycling bin.
The city is giving out 2,000 of them to homeowners as part of its refuse sustainability plan.
Mayor Shawyn Patterson-Howard says the goal is to improve green space throughout the city and comply with federal and state guidelines.
The city's hoping to implement a no plastic bag policy next year. All recyclables will be in this container.
Residents must sign up if they want a bin by either filling out a form on the Mount Vernon DPW website or by calling them.
One per household is allowed and it's on a first come, first serve basis.
They'll be distributed in the first week of December while supplies last.
