An MTA bus struck a storefront at the corner of Warburton and Ashburton avenues Friday afternoon.

Yonkers police say units were called to the area of Warburton and Ashburton avenues around 1:15 p.m. for reports of a motor vehicle accident involving a bus.

Upon arriving on scene, officers saw that an MTA bus had struck a storefront. Two other vehicles, which were parked and unoccupied, were also struck.

Officials say the bus was only occupied by the driver, who sustained minor injuries. That driver was taken to a hospital for evaluation.

No one else was injured.

The Yonkers Department of Housing and Buildings was on scene assessing the structural integrity of the building.

Officials said units would remain on scene until the bus is removed and further assessments can be made.

As of right now, it's unclear how the bus crashed into the storefront.
