Several people were hurt during two separate car crashes Friday in Red Hook, according to police.
Authorities say the first involved an 87-year-old man who mistakenly hit the gas rather than the brakes on Garden Street.
He collided head-on with another driver on South Broadway around 2:30 p.m. Both drivers’ injuries were minor.
Police say another driver making a left on South Broadway hit a motorcyclist that was also making a turn around 8 p.m.
The motorcyclist sustained multiple injuries and was hospitalized for treatment.
