Police are still searching for the murderer of a popular Larchmont mailman while those who knew the victim try to make sense of his death.

Steven Spina was found stabbed to death Monday afternoon in his apartment by his girlfriend.

Police are still investigating the crime and have not yet released any details on the murder. Officials are asking anyone with information regarding Spinna?s death to contact the authorities by calling 914-777-7714.

A candlelight vigil is being held Tuesday evening at Spina?s apartment complex. Co-workers hung black and purple balloons outside the Larchmont Post Office in his memory.

?Everyone?s just taken aback,? says Larchmont Postmaster Dorothy Abel.
