Nearly two dozen neglected dogs are receiving care in Dutchess County after being rescued from a filthy apartment in Brooklyn.

Police say the Pomeranian‑type dogs, including 15 puppies, were living in their own feces and urine and had no food or water.

The dogs were seized earlier this week.

They were taken to the new ASPCA Recovery and Rehab Center in Pawling.
