Orange County voters chose Republican incumbent Steve Neuhaus to continue serving as county executive.
Neuhaus' camp was in Chester Tuesday night, where he declared victory over Democrat Patrick Davis, a newcomer to politics.
Neuhaus pulled in 59 percent of the vote to Davis’ 41 percent.
"It's been a long campaign. I love what I do as county executive. We have a great team that runs with us," said Neuhaus. "Major gains in the Legislature … so I'm really excited to go to work in January with a really strong majority."
Neuhaus is confident in his strong record in economic development, saying that Orange County leads the Hudson Valley in job development.
