Sen. James Skoufis announced new funding for the long-awaited first phase of the Fjord Trail Project.
The $20 million allocated will go towards a new pedestrian overpass near the base of Breakneck Ridge.
The first phase of the project will also include the development of an off-site parking location, which will eliminate the dangerous roadside parking along Route 9-D.
