New Rochelle Mayor Noam Bramson says he will cooperate with a Board of Ethics review that he made an effort to become the city's next development commissioner.
Bramson says the complaint filed with the board presents a false narrative that mischaracterizes or wholly fabricates discussions and motivations.
He says he discussed the position with the city manager, who appoints all department heads.
Bramson says he places the highest value on ethics in public service and conducts himself accordingly.
He goes on to say while it is unpleasant to have one's integrity maligned by such a complaint, he is confident his actions meet the test of ethical conduct in every regard.
The position of development commissioner was given to someone else.
