New video shows the moments police took a suspect into custody after a fatal shooting in Orange County. Port Jervis police say the suspect, David Rombousek, was found on Ball Street and taken away. Authorities say that location is not far from the crime scene on Hammond Street.

Rombousek, a 26‑year‑old Port Jervis man, is accused in the early Sunday morning shooting of a still unidentified male victim. The arrest happened almost a full day after the shooting.

A neighbor who lives one street over described hearing the gunfire. “I was in my bedroom watching TV, my wife was actually in the kitchen, and she heard four shots, but she thought it was fireworks because we hear them all the time,” Nelson Ramirez said. “I was coming back through that street and I saw it was blocked, then I saw the breaking news report and that’s when I found out that someone got shot.”

Police have not released the victim’s identity. Authorities say they will provide more information at a later time.
