New York?s highest court decided Thursday same-sex marriages are not allowed and gay couples have no constitutional right to wed under state law. In a 4-2 decision, the state Court of Appeals proclaimed gay marriage is not allowed under New York State law. After learning about the ruling, many gay men and women say they feel discriminated against and defeated. Michael Sabatino and his partner of 28 years, Robert Voorhees, got married in Canada three years ago. They say they were hoping to repeat the ceremony in New York. Gay couples statewide vow to fight on. They say they are planning rallies and marches to protest the ruling.
